Senior Manager, SEC Financial Reporting - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the annual Form 10K and quarterly Form 10Q reports filed with the SEC
- Review the XBRL files associated with the financial statements submitted to the SEC
- Assist in the preparation of the financial sections of the earnings release
- Assist in the preparation and review of the monthly consolidated balance sheet and income statement including related account analyses
- Review the business commentary included in the division’s monthly report package
- Perform technical accounting research and benchmark against other peer companies
- Prepare ad hoc analyses for senior management and assist on special projects
- Work with entity/divisional personnel to address/resolve accounting issues
- Assist with the accounting for acquisitions/dispositions
- Prepare and submit various government surveys
- Liaison for external, internal and SOX audits and provide required support
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Business Administration - CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting, internal audit or financial consolidations experience, as well as, SEC reporting experience
- Strong technology aptitude
- Natural leadership skills and ability to coach and mentor staff

Jeff graduated from Millard South High School where he played basketball and was active in student council. Jeff had fun while investing six years coaching youth basketball in the Omaha Parochial Athletic League and the Millard Junior High feeder league. Jeff studied Pre-Law at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and then transferred to Creighton where he switched his major to Organizational Communication. Prior to joining Hemphill Search Group, Jeff worked in corporate foreign currency exchange, with Travelex and Custom House, who are both now owned by Western Union Business Solutions.
Jeff and his wife Jenny grew up in Omaha and met while in High School. They are very active and enjoy playing golf, traveling, and cheering the Cornhusker Football and Basketball teams, and they are also enthusiastic Creighton Basketball fans. Jeff and Jenny have a young and growing family, with son Connor, and daughters Kate and Grace.
