Accounting Manager - Clear path to earn exciting career growth

Our client, a profitable respected, locally owned business with over 100 employees, is searching for an Accounting Manager to work closely with the executive team and supervise the accounting staff and all accounting / financial close processes.  This is a fantastic position for an energetic accounting leader who enjoys a position where no two days are the same - this is a great role for someone who loves variety and challenge who doesn’t ever want to “get bored”.  This accounting department is full of employees with a wealth of experience and knowledge so you will inherit a team full of tenure with deep knowledge of the customer and vendor base.

 

  • Lead, mentor, coach and motivate this company’s seasoned accounting staff who brings excellent tenure and deep knowledge about the company, their vendor and client base.  We are searching for an experienced leader who enjoys supervising.
  • Play a key role in collaborating with the company’s operations function; our client highly prefers someone with experience or a passion for the manufacturing, construction or distribution industry.
  • Take on a lead role in the audit process as you will be a key contact point for external auditors.  Having a foundation of experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
  • Bring a process improvement mindset to the table; our client has a long list of fun process improvement initiatives they would like to take on and you will play a lead role in helping to better automate and enhance accounting processes.
  • Tackle ad-hoc projects directly for the CEO who has a deep respect for finance and will tap you on the shoulder for a wide array of “what if” analysis and management reporting projects.

Jeff studied Pre-Law at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and then transferred to Creighton where he switched his major to Organizational Communication. Prior to joining Hemphill Search Group, Jeff worked in corporate foreign currency exchange, with Travelex and Custom House, who are both now owned by Western Union Business Solutions.

    Jeff and his wife Jenny grew up in Omaha and met while in High School. They are very active and enjoy playing golf, traveling, and cheering the Cornhusker Football and Basketball teams, and they are also enthusiastic Creighton Basketball fans. Jeff and Jenny have a young and growing family, with son Connor, and daughters Kate and Grace.
