Personal Assistant & Household Manager - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE

As the Personal Assistant & Household Manager for one of Omaha’s highest profile, and highly respected families, take ownership for a wide variety of administrative and management responsibilities while professionally managing their household.  Take pride while making a big impact for this dynamic, warm, positive, and high impact family.

 

  • Manage all vendors while ensuring the home and overall property is managed & maintained to a high standard. 
  • As the primary point of contact, source, select, hire, manage, and hold all vendors accountable to ensure this prestigious property and home is in excellent condition at all times.  
  • Create systems and processes to ensure all vendors are delivering excellent solutions and operating within agreed-upon terms, budgets, and providing proactive maintenance and upkeep.  Proactively create schedules and checklists to track service provided, billing, and performance outcomes. 
  • Anticipate needs, and identify opportunities for improvement, then take ownership for home & property improvement projects. 
  • Coordinate schedules for service providers while minimizing interruptions to the family.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef while sourcing, and purchasing all food for meals, and hosted events .
  • Assist the Executive Chef with meal planning and take ownership for some food preparation and cooking as needed.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with catering and event planning professionals to ensure all events at their home create an excellent experience for all involved.    
  • As the family’s personal assistant, take ownership for the following:
    • Dry cleaning pickup and delivery.
    • Vehicle maintenance and service.
    • Package and mail pickup, delivery, and returns.
    • Schedule and coordinate appointments (medical and personal).
    • Proactively support the family calendar in coordination with their Executive Assistant to ensure all schedules are efficient.
    • Coordinate veterinary and grooming appointments and transportation for pets as needed.
    • Provide pet care during family travel while ensuring pets are fed, exercised, and cared for according to family specifications.
  • Perform light cleaning and organization as needed between regular cleaning crew visits, ensuring the home is always tidy and organized.
  • Take ownership for  all laundry including washing, drying, folding, and organization.

In the early years, Susie played an important role at Hemphill while focused on administrative support, special projects, and event planning on a part-time basis when her full time focus was caring for four very active children (Camie, Austin, Miles & Carmel).  When our children headed off to college and into the work force, Susie shifted her focus to a full time Recruiting Manager position.  

    Susie is an active member of Westside Church, Executive Women International, and she played a leadership role while launching spousal forum groups within The Entrepreneurs Organization of Nebraska.  Susie is an outgoing and ambitious individual who loves engaging with our family and friends.  Susie loves cooking with and for our family, playing games, golfing, spending quality time in the Old Market or Haymarket, vacationing, hiking mountains, canyons, or rain forests, swimming in the ocean, skiing, and cheering for the Husker Football, Volleyball or Baseball teams!  You might find Susie exercising at the gym, working in the yard, gardening, or playing with our two shih tzu puppies.
