Director of Accounting - Omaha Start-Up Company - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE

We have been engaged to select the 1st leader of accounting for this early stage start-up company.  Unlike most, they are debt free, backed with a rock solid investment group committed to long term growth.  As a member of the leadership team you will have responsibility, authority, and autonomy to develop and lead the accounting function.  You will own the integrity of the financial statements, internal and external reporting, operational and project budgeting, and being a culture creator as their 5th corporate employee.

We seek a strong accounting leader with experience in building financial reporting processes and accounting functions.  Strong knowledge of GAAP and process is important.  Large ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is helpful.  Agriculture, capital heavy, or construction experience would be nice as well.  All of the above are nice to have but absolutely required is “A” player level talent and leadership with a proven track record of success.

We believe the market compensation for this role is a base of $150,000 plus 50% bonus target.  Our client agrees; however, does not want us to limit talent so there is some upward stretch.  An equity compensation plan is targeted for creation in 2019.
